Pre-K Pals Online Opens a Virtual Preschool to Serve Families at Home
A pre-K program sets children up for success in school for years to come. They will enter kindergarten with the essential skills they need, and the program will make the transition easier for both the kids and their parents. Pre-K Pals Online is especially for four- and five-year-old children who will be entering kindergarten in the 2022-2023 academic year. The program also welcomes three-year-old kids as long as their parents think they are ready to learn more about the world.
Pre-K Pals Online is founded by Cindy Bracken, a certified early childhood teacher and elementary librarian with over 13 years of teaching experience. She holds a bachelor’s degree in elementary education and a master’s degree in library and information science.
“If you can’t attend in person, online pre-K is the next best thing. It allows for a daily learning routine for children and helps parents by taking the planning and prep off of their to-do list. Lessons are online and on-demand, meaning that parents and children can access them at whatever time is best for their schedule,” shared Bracken.
Every session of Pre-K Pals Online (except for the holiday session) is 10 weeks long. It offers daily (Monday–Friday) video lessons and weekly learning packs. There are 50 lessons and 10 learning packs for each long session, while there are 25 lessons and five learning packs for the holiday session.
These learning packs are printable PDF files that contain worksheets and ideas for more learning experiences. They extend lessons and provide opportunities to practice new skills. Daily videos and printables can be accessed from the program’s members-only website.
Pre-K Pals Online’s videos are on-demand. Members can watch them at whatever time works best for their children and families.
Each lesson may include some or all of the following and is built around a weekly theme: singing and movement, letters and sounds, counting and numbers, storytime, beginning math and science concepts, beginning reading concepts, fun learning games and a daily visit from Penelope the class puppet.
The school year at Pre-K Pals Online is divided into five sessions. They will have their Fall Session on Sept. 6-Nov. 12, 2021; Holiday Session on Nov.15-Dec. 17, 2021; Spring Session 1: on Jan. 3-March 11, 2022; Spring Session 2 on March 14-May 20, 2022; and Summer Session on June 6-August 12, 2022.
