NEW YORK, NY – The Center for Compassionate Leadership today announced the Women’s Global Compassion Gathering to take place on March 28, helping cap off a notable International Women’s History Month. Centered around the concept of “Compassion Around the World,” the event will celebrate women, women’s history, and unite participants through practices of reflection, mindfulness, and compassion. During these times coming out of the pandemic in an increasingly pressurized world, this global gathering will bring to light women’s unique role — historically and presently — in healing and spreading compassion.

Participants can find more information and register here. The Center for Compassionate Leadership is offering this event free of charge for the global community.

The Center for Compassionate Leadership’s Executive Director, Laura Berland, and COO, Evan Harrel, led another eight-week cohort of Compassionate Leadership and Resilience Training for Global Health Leaders in 2021’s first quarter. More recently, they spoke at the World Health Organization’s and the Task Force for Global Health’s Global Health Compassion Rounds. Ahead of the March 28 Women’s Global Compassionate Gathering and also April’s Compassionate Leadership and Resilience Training for Global Leaders, Laura and Evan are available for interviews.

“We cannot do this alone. If we want to give compassion to ourselves and bring it to the world, we must build communities of support and organizations that have cultures of compassion, safety, connection, and belonging,” said Laura Berland.
