Roswell, GA Woman Wins First Transcontinental® Ms. Universe 2019 Crown At International Pageant Held In McDonough, Georgia

Nova Kopp (of Roswell) was crowned the first Transcontinental® Ms. Universe 2019 at the Henry Country Performing Arts Center.

August 27, 2019 – McDonough, GA – Transcontinental® Pageants delegates were treated to a fun-filled week of amazing sights, Atlanta area attractions, VIP receptions, dining at award-winning local restaurants and community involvement that included an ice-cream social with children and staff of A Friend’s House, a home for children in crisis – an organization dedicated to meeting the emotional and physical needs of children in crisis.

At this annual, international event, Transcontinental® Pageants hosts delegates from all over the world, who compete in National and International title divisions. Each delegate is judged in the areas of: State (or Country) Costume, Evening Gown and Forum Presentation; based on their personal platform or passion project. The Transcontinental® Ms. Universe 2019 title is awarded to the eligible delegate with the highest overall score in all judged categories. Nova Kopp, who competed as Transcontinental® Classic Ms. USA, took her first walk across the stage to accept the crown as the inaugural Transcontinental® Ms. Universe 2019. This marked the first steps on a journey that will provide her a spotlight with the Transcontinental® Pageants organization whose motto is “Beauty That Inspires” – promoting volunteerism and empowerment of women worldwide.

As Transcontinental® Ms. Universe 2019, Nova will continue her work as a philanthropist and an ambassador for victims of domestic violence (DV). She works to increase education and funding through Hillside, which spreads awareness about the needs of children affected by mental illness, trauma, abuse, and neglect. As a DV survivor, Nova shares her personal story and knowledge of overcoming abuse. As an advocate for women and children dealing with domestic violence, she helps to provide training and tools to individuals as they begin their emotional healing and lives abuse – free. She has shared her story of “Triumph Over Trauma” with countless organizations and her message of HOPE continues to resonate in the hearts and spirits of those that have suffered abuse. Nova is also a national spokeswoman for The Pledge Campaign (a domestic violence awareness campaign) with a focus on preventing violence to women, children, men and animals. “The Pledge Campaign” was founded by Transcontinental® Pageants Director (and Mrs. Universe Ltd. 2014) Sabrina Pinion and is the pageant’s official cause.

Professionally, she is the Director of Training for AT&T, leading a global team of professionals in training strategy and delivery. Nova believes that it is never too late to become the person of your dreams, and in always delivering your best self. Nova is happily married to Mark and is the mother of two and a grandmother of two (with two on the way). She holds an MBA from Kennesaw State University and is also a certified life coach and church youth mentor.
