OBU’s SCHOLARS PUBLISH A GROUND BREAKING STUDY ON CUTTING EDGE SOFTWARE FOR THE ELECTRONICS MANUFACTURERS
Headed by Dr. Daryl Green, Researchers at The OBU’s Paul Dickinson College of Business Are Revealing How Technology Affects Manufacturing Companies & Their Supply Chain

Shawnee, OK, USA – May 15, 2019 – Seasoned Academic Researchers at the Oklahoma Baptist University’s (OBU) Paul Dickinson College of Business have recently published a groundbreaking research study regarding the disruptive change in today’s innovation. The title of this research study is ‘Disruptive Change in Today’s Innovation: A Case Study Analysis of OptimalPlus’, and the research team was headed by a noted American scholar and an Assistant Professor in the College of Business at Oklahoma Baptist University, Dr. Daryl Green.

“In today’s hypercompetitive world, electronics manufacturing companies experience challenges to respond to increasing consumer electronics demand while combatting disruptive change in their industries,” said Dr. Daryl Green, while talking about the study. “This case study examines OptimalPlus to demonstrate how it services while tapping into today’s technologies keep pace with competitors during disruptive change in the consumer electronics industry,” he added.

This research was a collaborative effort between faculty and graduate students.  In fact, this case study was initiated by MBA Students, Christina Roach, Taylor Mathson and Rachel Stafford, as part of an intense graduate assignment. Dr. Green was accompanied by his fellow OBU faculty member, Dr. Renita Murimi, who is an Associate Professor.  Dr. Murimi is a seasoned scholar with a research focus on computational social science, cryptocurrencies, and wireless networks.

In the recent years, OptimalPlus has emerged as an industry leader in providing the software solutions necessary for electronics manufacturers. These software enable the manufacturers to get the most out of their supply chain process. According to Dr. Green, the study primarily explores the concept of Industry 4.0 and the benefits that manufacturers can gain from utilizing technologies. Moreover, this open-access study has been published in the Management and Economics Research Journal.

“By understanding the benefits of using Industry 4.0, scholars and practitioners can better understand the way to innovate under the lens of disruptive change in the marketplace,” Dr. Green added, while talking about the benefits of this technologically advanced solution.
