Elina Tervo – Miss Bikini Fitness Champion Heads To One of the World’s Toughest Running Competition
Elina has always been determined when it comes to health and fitness. She has won European Championship 2012 in Miss Bikini Fitness from Paris and she became second in Las Vegas World Championship 2014 in the same category. Last competitions she competed in 2015 and she retired in the same year. A decision not taken lightly given that sport had been her entire life up until that point. But what can you do, when you have dreams.
She had traveled to many competitions and when traveling she felt alive. To see different cultures and see the whole world, what it has to offer. She found herself as a full-time traveler and she has been traveling now for 4 years straight with all her belongings and her entire life in one suitcase.
When she had the idea to head to the world, people said that she is crazy! Why would she leave from Finland when she has everything in place and also a successful career? This will never work!
But, she had heard that so many times before. Well, what can you do when you are a little crazy?
“Whatever I do, I go towards my goal no matter what. With my will power, I can move continents and my built-in competitive instincts will make me jump out of the bed every single morning. If I want something, I will go and get it.”
This will power is obviously coming from the Fitness career. Which shows that you can have this mentality in all aspects of life. This determination was also put to work as well. She didn’t just start traveling, she also started her own traveling show in YouTube called Wanderers of the World and with influencer marketing, she was able to support her decision to be full-time traveler.
Something was still missing
At the beginning of this year, she took a break from blogging and vlogging to figure out what was missing and what she really wants to do next. She will definitely travel the world for a long time still and she might never stop traveling. Even in this year, she’s planning to travel around the world and continue to inspire and share her life with you.
As an athlete, she had made a list of things she wanted to do. There were triathlons, marathons, trail run, fitness competition victory, etc. that she has done already. But next on the list was something crazy. Ultra Run 100K, could this be the next athletic goal. Well, yes, that’s what she is going to do.
“The 100K Ultra Run Marathon is the next competitive goal for me and now I’m training towards it.”
This will be a massive season for her and a return to be an athlete once again. While she was really enjoying the last few years with leisure, she has had a revelation; that there is no food or drink that taste as good as a healthy and strong body feels like.
Now we have first row seats to follow her training and the competition at the Ultra Run 100K marathon in Italy on September 2019.
